WEAVER OF DREAMS …
… started in 2003 when sax player Dan Greenblatt, from Seattle, became administrative director of the Jazz Program at the New School and joined with Jerry Engelbach, longtime New York City pianist and theatre director, and they invited veteran bassist Ed Fuqua to join them.

The group was soon gigging regularly, and expanded to include expert drummer Steve Jackson and world-class vocalist Amy London.

ANY SIZE COMBO …
… is possible. The most popular are solo piano; a trio of sax, piano, and bass; with the addition of drums, a quartet; and a quintet of all four instruments plus vocalist.

OUR REPERTOIRE …
… is extensive: classic jazz as it was meant to be heard, by masters from Charlie Parker to John Coltrane; hundreds of the best tunes of Rodgers and Hart, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and other great composers; many swing and Latin favorites; and a selection of funk, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and works by contemporary songwriters. WEDDINGS …
… are Weaver's most frequent gigs. We can play the whole thing — ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — or any part. We can emcee the announcements and we can set up in multiple locations, such as the garden for the ceremony, the patio for cocktails, and the ballroom for dinner and dancing.

CORPORATE EVENTS …
… are a specialty. Weaver styles its playing for cocktails and dinner to fit the room and allow the guests to chat easily over the music. The band is smartly outfitted and gives to the event our own touch of class.

PARTIES …
… show the full range of Weaver's abilities. From quiet romanticism to exuberant Latin and swing, Weaver's music helps to get everyone into the celebration.

We can use the venue's acoustic piano or our own digital keyboard. We bring the equipment: keyboard, amps, speakers, microphones, and, on request, a CD player. Short breaks insure continuous music. The band dresses to suit the occasion: tuxedo, jacket and tie, Hawaiian shirts, or whatever you choose. Jobs are finalized with a written contract.
